On the morning of June 28, with the completion and opening of the Lüting South Hub to Zongyang North Section of the Hezong (Hefei to Zongyang) Expressway, the Anhui Transportation Holding Group, which is the principal expressway investment and construction unit in Anhui, also released the "semi-annual report": in the first half of the year 2022, the group's construction projects have a cumulative investment of more than 16 billion yuan, the group has conducted more than half of the annual workload, and completed 55% of the planned tasks issued by the Department of Communications of Anhui Province.

Since the beginning of this year, Anhui Transportation Holding Group has made every effort to promote the construction of 20 expressways on the basis of controlling the epidemic, stabilizing the economy and safe development. The group will ensure that 4 projects of Hezong Expressway, Chutian (Chuzhou to Tianchang) Expressway, Huangqian (Huangshan to Qiandao Lake) Expressway, and Shitai-Qimen sector of Chiqi (Chizhou to Qimen) Expressway will be completed within the year, with an additional traffic mileage of 280 kilometers.
On the other hand, 3 projects of the Helu (Hefei to Lu'an) Expressway, Wuhu-Lintou section of Wuhe (Wuhu to Hefei) Expressway and Lujiang-Tongcheng section of Wuyue (Wuwei to Yuexi) Expressway will be expanded from four-lane to eight-lane, adding more than 180 kilometers of eight-lane expressways.
At present, more than 80% of the Huangqian Expressway has been completed. All parties are working hard for the opening by the end of the year. At that time, this "most beautiful expressway" in southern Anhui will become a shortcut to connect two famous scenic spots of Huangshan Mountain and Qiandao Lake.
The Chutian Expressway, which is undergoing large-scale construction on the lower level, is expected to be completed in November. The goal of opening to traffic within the year is expected to be completed ahead of schedule.
The Hezong Expressway, with a total length of 134 kilometers has completed more than 80% of the investment, and the entire line will be completed and opened to traffic within the year. By then, the main urban area of Shucheng County will achieve the goal of reaching the expressway within 15 minutes.
The 54-kilometer-long Shitai-Qimen section of Chiqi Expressway has completed over 90% of the investment. It is currently entering the final stage of road construction, which is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in October. By then, the main urban area of Yixian County will also achieve the goal of reaching the expressway in 15 minutes.
