Shucha, the town of flowers

Recently, more than 2,000 mu (about 133.3 hectares) of rapeseed flowers planted in the fields of Shadun Village, Shucha Town, Shucheng County, Anhui Province are in full bloom. The rapes here are selected by the planting base and have four different colors of flowers, including yellow, red, orange, and pink, attracting many tourists to watch the flowers.

The flower field along the Shulu canal has a special design of a pink butterfly in the middle sided by the pattern of four Chinese characters “Hua Li Shu Cha", which literally means “Shucha Town in a painting”.

In order to expand the collective economy, Shadun Village has innovatively developed a tripartite cooperation model of village cooperatives + market entities + third-party operators, appointing them to the responsibilities of infrastructure construction, agricultural production, and planning and marketing respectively. The village is actively preparing for a “rape flower festival” project under this model, which will allow tourists to experience rainbow slides, swings, sightseeing trains and so on.

The project will lead the village's agricultural transformation and upgrading, creating a new model integrating various business forms such as flower field tourism, farming cultural experience, and homestay entertainment, thereby boosting rural revitalization and the development of tourism.
