Anhui's first MRI approved for marketing

The reporter learned from the Institute of Advanced Technology of the University of Science and Technology of China that recently, the permanent magnet-type magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system independently developed by the Anhui Fuqing Medical Technology Team of the institute has been reviewed and certified by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), and the product model is CLIMBER035. This product is reportedly the first approved Class III MRI medical device developed in Anhui.

The system mainly aims at the primary level medical market, focusing on stroke prevention and malignant tumour screening, providing stroke emergency, remote consultation services, mobile cabin MRI, guided minimally invasive interventional therapy and other featured solutions. Its DWIb1000 technology can diagnose stroke quickly and accurately to gain valuable time for treatment. Compared to the process of getting a traditional MRI system into the hospital, the mobile cabin MRI is simple and can be delivered in about three days.

According to the reports, the cloud-based medical imaging platform of the system can break the limitations of space and time, bring high-quality medical resources everywhere, and form a "medical" network for imaging diagnosis. Township or community hospitals can upload image examination data to the imaging consultation platform in the cloud and send requests. Professional imaging diagnostic doctors at county- and provincial-level imaging centers can read the images and write inspection reports online to solve the problem that there are no experienced imaging diagnostic doctors to write the report in the primary level hospitals—balance medical resources through tiered diagnosis.
