Wuhu in Anhui has added another 'most beautiful bookstore'

At the beginning of the new year, the Wuhu Zhongshuge Bookstore located in the Wuhu Government Affairs Center was opened and attracted many citizens to check-in. 

In May 1995, the first Zhongshu Bookstore was established in Songjiang, Shanghai. In 2013, the first Zhongshuge Bookstore was opened in Songjiang District, Shanghai. With a brand new design concept, Zhongshuge Bookstore creates a "kaleidoscope style" urban reading space. In addition to book sales, it also organizes cultural activities such as "Famous Writers Forum", "New Book Sharing", and "Family Sharing", transforming the simple reading place into a comprehensive cultural activity space that integrates leisure, life, and social interaction. Today, Zhongshuge Bookstore is praised as "the most beautiful bookstore in China".

With its iconic glass walls, red spiral staircase, and interior design incorporating elements of Wuhu, a riverside city, the Wuhu Zhongshuge Bookstore stands out and leaves a lasting impression. The newly built Wuhu Zhongshuge Bookstore has a floor area of approximately 1,200 square meters, with two floors divided into multi-functional cultural and creative area, rest area, and children's area, etc. It houses nearly 50,000 books, including literature, history, psychology, social sciences, children's books, and more.

Since 2021, Wuhu City has vigorously created high-quality urban reading spaces and meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the people with high-quality cultural activities. Currently, Wuhu City has built 54 distinctive urban bookstores, with Wuhu Bookstore·Jiangwan Academy has been awarded the honorary title of "New Model of Reading Space in 2023 - Stylish Community Store", which is the only one in Anhui Province.
