Citizens are enjoying tofu-themed dishes

Li Shizhen of the Ming Dynasty recorded in the Compendium of Materia Medica: "The method to make tofu was invented by Liu An, the king of Huainan in the Han Dynasty." Huainan is the birthplace of tofu and the hometown of Chinese tofu culture.

September 15 is Liu An's birthday and the day to commemorate his invention of tofu. On the same day, the 2022 China Huainan Tofu Cuisine (Banquet) Exhibition Competition hosted by Huainan Catering and Cooking Industry Association and Huainan Municipal Tourism Association was held in Huiyun Tofu Restaurant. Twelve catering companies brought their delicate tofu dishes to participate in the competition.

It is understood that the event is divided into two categories: group competition and individual competition. The winners will be awarded the honorary titles of Huainan Tofu Cuisine (Banquet) Demonstration Restaurants and Skill Inheritors, respectively.
