On the afternoon of July 1, a special exhibition with the theme "The original aspiration shines on the land of Jianghuai -- Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China" kicked off at Anhui Museum as a celebration of the Party's centenary. The exhibition contains hundreds of exhibits that vividly illustrated the great changes and achievements Anhui made under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) from a comprehensive perspective.

The exhibition consists of four parts: "creating a new world", "building a new home", "striving for a new age" and "strides in a new era", showcasing 216 pieces or sets of items, over 260 pictures, restoration of the historical scene of Xiaogang Village's renowned trial of the household responsibility system (Dabaogan), the miniature of Anhui's Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (or EAST), and a variety of other objects. It seeks to help visitors to better understand the changes and developments that happened in Anhui ever since the founding of CPC.
