In the midst of a cold winter, Xinpugou Village in Manshuihe Town, Huoshan County, Lu'an City, is bustling with activity. Tourists flock here for skiing, creating a "tourism boom" driven by the local "ice and snow tourism." In recent years, Manshuihe Town in Huoshan County have started with high standards in planning rural areas and made significant efforts in rural development.

Xinpugou Village, located in the hinterlands of the Dabie Mountains, boasts beautiful mountain ranges and a superior ecological environment, making it an ecological haven for developing ski tourism. In 2023, the town insisted on the joint development of beautiful rural areas and project attraction, drawing in nearly 200 million yuan of social capital. Among these projects, the Dabie Mountains Ski Tourism Resort project, with an investment of over 100 million yuan in its first phase, was launched and operational within the same year. Since its trial opening on December 28, 2023, it has attracted over 20,000 visitors, driving more than 3 million yuan in surrounding consumption. The opening of the Dabie Mountains Ski Tourism Resort not only provides a new destination for ski enthusiasts' winter leisure activities but also enriches Huoshan County's ice and snow tourism offerings. It supports the construction of beautiful rural areas with industry, making the ice and snow economy another growth point for promoting high-quality development in Huoshan, and also defines a new path to wealth for the local community.

Xinpugou Village is nestled among green mountains, with a winding stream of clear water flowing through. The 49 Hui-style residences stand in a picturesque arrangement along both banks of the river, making it an ecological mountain village that captures both the charm of Huizhou and the allure of nature's beauty in the Dabie Mountain area. Daoshichong Village is a provincial-level traditional village, where ancient bridges, trees, and dwellings seem to gaze at each other across time, offering a glimpse of a thousand years in a serene and tranquil setting. Embracing ecology as its foundation, the town has seized the opportunities brought by the opening of the ski resort. It has planned and designed high-standard water and sewage systems for the ski area. It has renovated courtyards and public areas for 213 households and 52 locations, giving the traditional village a "new look while preserving its old charm." "My guesthouse has been open for nearly a year, and we've had a constant stream of tourists. They come for hiking and sightseeing in spring and autumn, to escape the heat in summer, and the ski resort attracts many visitors in winter," said Cao Bin, the owner of Mansu·Guqiao Renjia in Daoshichong Village, full of confidence in the development of his guesthouse.
