Huangshan, a city in the south of the province, was the main venue for a ceremony launched by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

At the ceremony, Anhui, Zhejiang, Sichuan and Jiangxi provinces announced their respective measures in celebration of the day.

During the day, more than 10,000 volunteers went to scenic spots around Anhui province, reminding tourists to protect the environment, keep order, show good manners and stay safe.

As the first in the country to establish the Day of Tourists’ Credibility, the province took part in formulating national standards for “civilized tourism” and held exhibitions featuring “civilized tourism”. It has also launched campaigns to improve tourist services over the past few years.

About 50 attractions in Huaibei, Bengbu, Huainan, Wuhu, Tongling, Chizhou and Anqing cities offered free admissions to tourists, as part of their efforts to mark the 9th China Tourism Day.
