The International Deep Space Exploration Conference 2026 is underway in Hefei, Anhui, bringing together space experts from around the world to explore the future of sustainable deep-space exploration. On his third visit to Anhui, Russian space expert Dmitry Zarubin is already looking much farther ahead — to the Moon. He believes Anhui’s cutting-edge technologies and strong research capabilities could help open up new possibilities for future lunar exploration. And where would he like our next interview to take place? On the Moon! From Anhui to the Moon — today it may sound like a bold idea, but one day, it just might become reality.
