Why are mayors from around the world gathering in Huangshan? After spending the past few days with them, I realized that the conversations of the World Mayors Dialogue don’t just happen inside the conference hall. From ancient villages and fish lanterns to the Welcoming Pine and tea fields, they shared experiences in urban development while discovering common ground across cultures. And somehow, Huangshan has a way of bringing people from different countries together. Maybe that’s what makes Huangshan a global meeting place.
