Cities along railway lines in Anhui experience tourism boom

On March 31, the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed railway Hefei to Anqing section (Hefei-Anqing high-speed railway) reached its 100th operation day. The opening of this railway line has not only facilitated the traveling of residents along the line, but also brought popularity to tourism of nearby cities.

After its opening on December 22, 2020, Hefei-Anqing high-speed railway has become an express passage that runs through South Central Anhui and has contributed to a new round of tourism boom in Hefei, Anqing and other neighboring cities. Since the beginning of this spring, the number of tourists who travel between Anqing and cities including Hefei, Chaohu, Wuhu, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, etc. has soared, even making some train tickets hard to buy. Many travellers choose to take the high-speed train to watch the roadside scenery and stay at local B&Bs to experience the idyllic life and release their pressure in the fresh air.
