Guniujiang in spring

Located at the confluence of Shitai county and Qimen county, the Guniujiang Scenic Area is one of the three high mountains in the south of East China’s Anhui province. It is 22 kilometers from downtown Shitai and covers a total area of 6,700 hectares.

The 1727.6-meter main peak of the area is a westward extension of the world-renowned Huangshan Mountain.

With over 1,300 kinds of plants and more than 1,000 species of animals, Guniujiang is known as the "green natural museum" and the "gene pool of wild animals and plants in East China".

The residents here still live a traditional life not being disturbed by  the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
