Heavy Rain to Hit Northern Anhui

Heavy rain swept most parts of southern Anhui last week. The rain belt moves northward today. Affected by cold air, another round of rain will fall on northern Anhui from July 9^th.

The upper reaches of Yangtze River (Minjiang River, Jialing River, Tuojiang River, Fujiang River, etc.) will be hit by torrential rain. Anhui section of the river has already broken warning water level, according to Anhui Public Meteorological Service Center.

From July 6^th to 7^th, heavy rain will batter some parts of northern Anhui, with the precipitation of 70-110mm. The maximum precipitation will exceed 120mm in local areas. 40-70mm of rain will fall on the region along Huaihe River.

Anhui will keep a close eye on the change of rain and flood. It will also take precautions against floods and severe convection weather.(by Jiang Xueting)
