March 6 is a memorable day for Gu Xinyue.
On that day a year ago, the girl, born in 1994, in well-ironed uniform and confident-faced, caught much public attention as the first female pilot in East China’s Anhui province.
Dubbed “Super Girl”, Gu has made flights to many foreign countries such as the United States, Japan, and Thailand, and to almost all the big cities in China over the past year. She has clocked 1,000 hours of safe flight time.
