Three individuals and two organizations from East China’s Anhui province, were shortlisted for national anti-poverty awards on Thursday, according to the provincial Office of Poverty Alleviation.
Ji Daoming, a rural resident in Shucheng county, Wu Wubing, head of an agricultural company, and Xu Dongmei, an anti-poverty official in Yingquan district of Fuyang were nominated for the awards in recognition of their contributions to poverty relief.
Also among the candidates were two agencies: the government of Jinzhai county and the Organization Department of the Suzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said the office.
The list of award-winners is slated to be finalized in late August, with 100 individuals and 40 organizations to be picked around the country.
