In Hefei, Anhui Province, China's first quantum chip production line has been busy these days. China's latest quantum computer, "Wukong," will soon be launched here, and the production line is in full swing to produce quantum chips.
At 11 a.m. on the 31st, CCTV News visited the production line, which has been operating since January 2022. In the past year, 24 sets of quantum chip production-related process equipment have been successively introduced to it; 3 sets of self-developed quantum chip special equipment have been incubated there; more than 1,500 batches of trial products have been produced, and multiple batches of quantum chips, quantum amplifiers, and other products have been delivered by it.
On the eve of the Spring Festival this year, the quantum chip for "Wukong" was developed using this production line. Currently, the chip is being debugged in the Wukong quantum computer and will be launched soon. According to the official roadmap of Origin Quantum, by 2025, Origin Quantum will break through 1000 qubits and reach 1024 qubits. It will use quantum computing to try to solve related problems in different industries and develop industry-specific quantum computers.
