Wild ducks fly over the wetland
Recently, the first batch of thousands of wild ducks arrived in the Hedongwei section of Chaohu Peninsula National Wetland Park in Anhui Province. Their arrival brought vitality to the wetland park in autumn. From a distance, these wild ducks sometimes swim leisurely on the surface of the water, sometimes stand quietly on the tidal flat, and when they are happy, they will crane their necks and quack a few times. Once disturbed, they will rise in groups of three or five and hover over the water. Flocked wild ducks are mainly mallards, spot-billed ducks, and green-winged teals. In addition to wild ducks, waterfowl such as bean geese, coots, moorhens, little grebes, and black-winged stilts also enjoy the waters. It is understood that every winter, the wetlands along Chaohu Lake welcome a large number of wintering migratory birds. The good ecological environment and food sources provide a comfortable habitat for these migratory birds to overwinter in Chao Lake.
