Workshops of agricultural experts were set up in the planting base

Recently,in Xujing Poverty Alleviation Industrial Park of Feidong County,Liao Huajun,a potato expert from the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences,constantly wandering around the planting bases,patiently explaining potato planting techniques to the farmers: "In the early stage of seedling,promoting roots and stolons should be the first thing.After coming out to 7 to 8 true leaves,the seedling growth is slow and temperature is low,it should be more tillage and less irrigation for the water demand is little."

In 2020,the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Feidong County Agricultural Technology Center set up the chief expert studio in the industrial park,based on the development of potato industry,to carry out technical assistance.Under the technical guidance of the expert studio,the production of potato increased vigorously.Due to the advanced technology and good varieties,the potato yield per mu came up to more than 2000 kilograms,and had good image and quality,the market demand exceeds supply,driving potato planting area of the industrial park increased year by year.

"We planted potatoes at the beginning of the cooperative, but the potatoes were small and low in yield,selling poorly,so we gave up."introduced by Wei Xiaoming,head of the Mingzhi Agricultural Professional Cooperative in Feidong County.In recent years,under the recommendation of the chief expert studio,the cooperative adjusted varieties.After the guidance of agricultural technology experts,the potato yield per mu reached 2,500 kilograms,and the economic benefits exceeded 10,000 yuan.

"Feidong is located in the Jianghuai hills in Hefei suburbs,with good soil environment,climate conditions,and a broad sales market and scientific and technological strength.In addition to the water and fertilizer integration equipment of the industrial park,there also was mechanization equipment.”The person in charge of County Agricultural Technology Center introduced,under the drive of chief expert studio,it has developed from a few acres of experimental demonstration to nearly one hundred acres of planting area,with annual output value of nearly one million yuan.
