On July 28, the first prestressed concrete (PC) track beam of Phase I of Huangshan Tourism Line T1, invested by China Railway (Shanghai) Investment Group Co., Ltd. and constructed by China Railway No.4 Engineering Group, was successfully erected, marking the project's official entry into the main guideway construction stage and a critical transition from beam fabrication to beam erection.

Stretching 43.62 kilometers, Huangshan Tourism Line T1 extends from Huangshan North Railway Station in the south to Huangshan East Gate Station in Tanjiaqiao in the north. The line features eight elevated stations, adopts a straddle monorail transit system, and has a maximum operating speed of 100 km/h. The 5th Civil Engineering Branch of China Railway No.4 Engineering Group, contractor for Phase I of the project, is responsible for constructing one beam prefabrication yard and two beam lifting sites, as well as the precasting, transportation, erection and fine adjustment of all 4,343 prestressed concrete (PC) track beams along the entire line, together with the construction of rescue walkways.

The first track beam was erected between Piers 71 and 72 of the Chenkan Wangcun Extra-large Bridge. The beam measures 25 meters in length, has a curve radius of 1,200 meters, and weighs 68 tons. To ensure construction precision and safety, the project team carried out specialized technical rehearsals in advance. New technologies and customized equipment, including 3D precision positioning, dedicated lifting gear, and integrated pier-top working platforms, were employed to complete the first beam erection to a high standard, providing valuable experience for subsequent large-scale beam erection.

Construction of multiple bridges and tunnels along the entire line is advancing simultaneously, accelerating overall project progress. As a major transport artery linking the natural landscapes and cultural heritage of southern Anhui, Huangshan Tourism Line T1 connects tourist attractions including Qiankou, Chenkan and Huangshan Scenic Area. It will create a seamless golden tourism corridor integrating high-speed rail, monorail and cableways, while serving as a mobile viewing platform and an immersive cultural experience corridor. With a total investment of 11.426 billion yuan, the line is scheduled to open in April 2029. Upon completion, it will significantly reduce travel time to major scenic attractions, effectively ease peak-season congestion and inconvenient transfers, improve the regional comprehensive transportation network, and inject strong momentum into the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the innovative development of integrated transport and tourism.
