Identity verification in just 10 seconds and data entry completed within seconds. Four new AI-powered assistants—Zhengguo, Atai, Xiaoming, and An'an—have recently joined the transportation service counter at the Hefei Government Service Center, significantly accelerating administrative procedures with response times measured in seconds.

"Annual inspections for more than a dozen trucks used to take about half an hour. Today, everything was completed in just seven or eight minutes," said Mr. Ding, who recently visited the transportation service counter at the Hefei Government Service Center to renew annual inspections for his freight vehicles.

According to staff at the transportation service counter, the new AI assistants have eliminated the need for personnel to switch repeatedly among three different information systems during the inspection process. Staff now simply enter a vehicle's license plate number and receive verification results within 10 seconds, compared with the previous waiting time of at least three to four minutes.

In June this year, with technical support from the Anhui Provincial Transportation Comprehensive Law Enforcement Supervision Bureau, Hefei fully deployed AI-powered approval agents across its transportation government service platform, leveraging digital technologies to improve administrative efficiency and deliver a more convenient public service experience.

The four AI assistants each perform specialized functions through a desktop-assisted workflow, supporting the entire process from information verification and data entry to document generation and risk control. They have significantly improved the efficiency of handling high-frequency services, increasing overall processing efficiency by more than 40 percent during peak periods and helping transform transportation government services from manual operations to intelligent, near-instant processing.
