To effectively safeguard the lawful rights and interests of Anhui’s outbound enterprises, help them address legal challenges during overseas expansion, and effectively prevent and resolve risks in foreign investment and operations, the Foreign Affairs Office of Anhui Provincial People's Government together with the Provincial Department of Justice, Provincial Department of Commerce, Anhui Provincial Lawyers Association, Hefei Legal Services District and other departments, hosted the “Anhui Enterprises Going Global, Legal Framework as Safeguard” foreign‑related legal services event for enterprises at Fuyang Economic Development Zone on May 8.
The event precisely matched local enterprise needs and invited heads of professional law firms to deliver special lectures on legal risks in overseas investment. Lawyer Zheng Zhi, director of Shanghai Landing (Hefei) Law Offices, analyzed common legal risks and countermeasures using real cases involving SMEs and cross‑border mergers and acquisitions; He Xiujuan, Senior Partner of Shanghai Dehehantong Law Offices, delivered a systematic explanation of whole-process compliance requirements, judging criteria for determining sensitive investments, and rules for regulating the export of funds and technology, providing professional guidance for enterprises to carry out compliant overseas investment. The two lawyers also provided in‑depth, detailed answers to companies’ cross‑border investment questions and offered practical, implementable legal advice. The Anhui Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, in view of the current situation of consular protection, reminded enterprises to pay attention to overseas security risks and compliant operations, to make good use of legal tools, and to protect their rights and interests. Representatives from 20 key export‑oriented enterprises in Fuyang attended; they said the event was efficient and pragmatic, addressing many of their cross‑border investment concerns and bolstering confidence and safeguards for safe, compliant overseas expansion. The foreign‑related legal services‑to‑enterprises initiative is one of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office’s key measures to implement the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government’s deployment to strengthen foreign‑related legal services. Going forward, the Office will continue to deepen collaboration with justice, commerce and other departments, accurately match enterprises’ foreign‑related legal demands, build more service platforms, and extend the coverage of foreign‑related legal resources, thereby further optimizing the business environment and escorting Anhui enterprises’ outward development.
