Reporters learned from the Anhui Provincial Government Affairs Publicity Office that the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences recently released the China Rule of Law Development Report (2026), unveiling the national government transparency assessment results for 2025. The Anhui Provincial Government continues to rank in the country’s top tier, rating at an excellent level among provincial-level governments alongside nine other provinces and municipalities including Shanghai, Beijing and Guangdong. All 16 prefecture-level cities in Anhui have been rated excellent at the prefectural level, while Jinzhai County has entered the excellent ranking for county-level governments. This fully demonstrates the remarkable achievements of government affairs publicity across the province, featuring a high standard and balanced development momentum.

The Government Affairs Publicity Office has focused closely on key fields, sorted out publicity items in priority areas, compiled proactive publicity catalogs at provincial, municipal, county and township levels, and ensured full proactive disclosure of statutory matters. It has strengthened the publicity of major policies and initiatives in scientific and technological innovation, the fostering of new quality productive forces, and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. Efforts have been made to fully implement detailed information disclosure measures in people’s livelihood sectors including compulsory education, elderly care services, employment and entrepreneurship, and public enterprise services. Meanwhile, risk prevention has been strengthened to urge all localities and departments to balance publicity and information security, advance standardized disclosure in an all-round manner, conduct timely sorting and review of released government information, and firmly uphold the bottom line of security. Going forward, Anhui will continuously improve the quality and efficiency of provincial government affairs publicity and bolster the development of a transparent government.
