Over the past year, Anhui has led the charge with technology, seized the initiative in innovation, and proactively aligned with major national strategies. The province has consistently ranked among the top tier nationwide in regional innovation capability, continuously promoting the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation to accelerate the growth and development of new quality productive forces.

Empowering enterprises to take the lead, Anhui fully supports backbone and leading enterprises in taking charge. These enterprises are encouraged to unite upstream and downstream partners, universities, and research institutions, pooling innovative resources to jointly establish industrial innovation research institutes. Currently, over 80% of provincial-level key technological projects and their associated funding are spearheaded by enterprises, solidifying their role as the primary drivers of technological innovation decision-making, research and development investment, and the commercialization of results.

In 2025, Anhui focused on building an integrated ecosystem that brings together "government, industry, academia, finance, application, and service." By precisely orchestrating the deep integration of its industrial, innovation, capital, and talent chains, the province ramped up its support for enterprises in key areas. This included backing technological breakthroughs, advancing innovation platforms and facilities, and promoting the application of new products. These efforts accelerated the establishment of an enterprise-centered innovation system, driving the deep integration of technological and industrial progress.

In 2025, Anhui's total automobile production reached 3.6865 million units, including 1.7941 million new energy vehicles, ranking first nationwide in both categories. Since last year, the province has proactively built an open ecosystem laboratory system for the automotive industry. Over 20 globally pioneering technologies have been deployed in vehicles, and the export of complete vehicles exceeded one million units, maintaining its top position nationwide.

A step ahead in technology leads to a lead in industry. In 2025, the output value of strategic emerging industries in the province grew by 11.5%, while the added value of high-tech manufacturing surged by 30.4%, maintaining double-digit growth for 24 consecutive months. The added value of the electronic information industry grew by 40.9%. Industrial robot production increased by 35.3%, with exports ranking second nationwide, and the comprehensive competitiveness of the photovoltaic and energy storage industry ranked third in the country.

Since last year, Anhui has seized the industry opportunity presented by "AI + Everything" by continuously strengthening its top-level design. The province has solidified foundational capabilities in computing power, data, and models, emphasizing a strategy driven by scenario innovation, aimed at integrated applications, and focused on cultivating vertical models. The goal is to establish a series of exemplary application scenarios and industrial innovation parks. In 2025, approval was granted to build a national highland for the artificial intelligence industry, and Anhui's artificial intelligence industry development was ranked 5th nationwide in evaluations.

Furthermore, the province's modern service sector has accelerated its development. Investment in high-tech services grew by 16.4%, maintaining double-digit growth for 18 consecutive months. Cities like Ma'anshan and Suzhou were approved as national logistics hub bearer cities. The province added three new 5A-rated logistics enterprises, and the volume of express delivery services increased by 20.8%.
