In recent years, Anhui's industrial exports have shown a positive trend. As the province's largest freight, foreign trade, and container hub port, Wuhu Port handled over 1.8 million TEUs of container throughput in 2025, an increase of 64% compared to the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period. Its average annual growth rate reached 2.56 times the national average, accounting for more than 57% of the province's total container throughput.

It is understood that Wuhu Port is a major inland river port in China and a national water transport open port. In recent years, Anhui Port Group Wuhu Co., Ltd has accelerated the implementation of the "one primary, two auxiliary" strategic layout. In 2025, Wuhu implemented targeted measures in container services, seized opportunities in the development of the white goods industry, and flexibly applied volume-price linkage policies to steadily increase the shipment volumes of key white goods customers. At the same time, leveraging its advantageous logistics channels, the port vigorously expanded the export business of new energy vehicles, handling 75,300 TEUs of NEV shipments throughout the year—a surge of 265.53% year-on-year—making it a new engine for business growth.

In response to rapid business expansion, Wuhu Port focused on improving management quality to continuously optimize the development ecosystem and enhance overall operational efficiency. In 2025, the port achieved multiple breakthroughs in technological innovation.
