According to recently released data from the National Bureau of Statistics, Anhui Province produced 3.6865 million vehicles in 2025, including 1.7941 million new‑energy vehicles (NEVs), accounting for 10.68% and 10.79% of the national totals respectively — marking the province's first‑time attainment of the top annual output nationwide. Over the year Anhui exported 1.228 million vehicles, up 28.7% year‑on‑year, maintaining its national lead and becoming the first province in China to surpass one million vehicle exports in a single year. Ren Linjie, executive secretary‑general of Anhui's Automotive Strategy Advisory Committee and director of the Anhui Provincial Automotive Innovation Center, said: "The integration and circulation of innovation resources have comprehensively empowered automotive industry innovation; we have clusters of more than 3,000 parts suppliers, and roughly 10,000 vehicles are produced in Anhui every day. During the 14th Five‑Year Plan period, Anhui's automotive sector achieved historic breakthroughs and leapfrog development." Over the past five years, Anhui's production of conventional and new‑energy vehicles has climbed steadily step by step, culminating in the national top spot in 2025. Last year, the industrial added value of Anhui's automobile manufacturing above designated size rose 20.1% year‑on‑year, contributing more than 20% to overall industrial growth. In the first 11 months of 2025, enterprises in the province's vehicle manufacturing sector above designated size recorded revenues of CNY 825.373 billion, up 19.4% year‑on‑year, with complete vehicle manufacturing generating CNY 441.81 billion in revenue, up 13% year‑on‑year.
