On January 7, 2026, Ankai's bus factory buzzed with activity as 215 natural‑gas buses destined for Mexico lined up for departure. These "green vehicles" will cross oceans to reach Monterrey — Mexico's "city of mountains" — supporting local transit development with low‑carbon, energy‑efficient mobility solutions.

Since 2017, Ankai has been exporting buses to Mexico in volume. Notably, the order for 800 natural‑gas buses in 2022 set the largest record for Chinese bus exports to Mexico and laid a solid foundation for the company's expansion into the North American market.

Over the past decade, Ankai's natural‑gas buses have been deployed in multiple Mexican cities including Monterrey, Chihuahua, and Ciudad Juárez. With reliable performance and environmentally friendly operation, they have become an important force in local public transit and strengthened the "Made in China" brand image.

A representative from Ankai said this batch of natural‑gas buses exported to Mexico are customized models precisely developed for the Mexican market. They offer lower fuel consumption, stronger power, and longer range, and compared with conventional diesel buses can significantly reduce emissions of pollutants such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides.

Located in northern Mexico with a pleasant environment, Monterrey is one of the country's most livable and industrially developed cities and has long ranked high in Mexico's sustainability indices. The deployment of these vehicles will further support the city's transit transformation and improve the travel experience for residents.

High‑quality products require comprehensive service support. To ensure the smooth delivery and stable operation of these buses in Mexico, Ankai has established a full‑chain, customized service system covering pre‑sale, in‑sale, and after‑sale stages.

Adhering to a long‑term R&D strategy, Ankai continues to intensify efforts on core technologies, building competitive strength across multiple clean‑energy powertrains including pure electric, hybrid, hydrogen fuel, and natural gas.

Today, Ankai’s green footprint spans countries and regions such as Russia, France, Italy, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, and Kyrgyzstan, continuously promoting Chinese green transportation technologies and sustainable development concepts worldwide.
