From November 15 to 16, the “Gujinggongjiu Cup” 2025 FootGolf (China) Tour’s 13th stop (Lu’an) concluded on the morning of November 16 at the Xingmao Nanshan Golf Course in Lu’an, Anhui, after two days of exciting competition.

As an FIFG‑certified FIFG100 event (Federation for International FootGolf), the tournament attracted nearly 40 players from Lu’an, Hefei, Beijing, Ji'nan and other cities.

This stop served as the final leg of the 2025 China tour. After two days and 36 holes (two rounds) of fierce competition, the top three in the Open Division (ages 18–44) were Wang Lin (Beijing), Chen Guang (Hefei) and Zhang Xiaolong (Beijing).

Since its introduction to China in 2015, FootGolf has developed rapidly thanks to its low entry barrier, all‑age appeal, and blend of fun and competition. Players use a standard size‑5 soccer ball and attempt to kick the ball into the hole on the course in the fewest “kicks,” testing both accuracy and tactical skill.

This tournament was not only a sporting showcase but also a successful example of a “sports + business” model. The opening of Lu’an Nanshan as a new venue in cooperation with the Anhui FootGolf Association will help popularize the sport locally, contribute to the city’s sports identity, and promote regional sports development. Moreover, FootGolf’s suitability for all ages enriches community sports offerings and provides new exercise options for young people and older adults, expanding forms of mass fitness.

With ongoing improvements to the competition system and increasing involvement from social and commercial partners, this entertaining and strategic sport is expected to flourish in more cities.
