On November 9, 2025, the "Taiping Lake Cup · 2025 Huangshan International Triathlon" opened at the Taiping Lake waters in Huangshan City's Huangshan District, Anhui Province.

As an international A+ level sporting event, the competition was jointly hosted by the China Triathlon Association, the Anhui Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Huangshan Municipal People’s Government, attracting more than 800 athletes and enthusiasts from around the world.

The event features four main categories: the full 113 km course, the half course, an 11 km swim-run duo, and single-discipline races in swimming, cycling, and running. The route follows the high-quality waters of Taiping Lake and the lake-ring ecological road, linking green hills, clear waters, and traditional Huizhou villages to create a "most beautiful triathlon course" that combines competitive challenge with ecological scenery.

In recent years, Huangshan City has continuously promoted diversified "sports+" development. By hosting high-level outdoor events, the city has further integrated its all-for-one tourism resources, transforming its mountain-and-water cultural advantages into strengths for a sports tourism industry and composing a new chapter in the integration of sports and tourism.
