On October 30, two containers filled with washing machines were successfully dispatched from the Hefei Railway Logistics Center under the supervision of Luzhou Customs, which is part of Hefei Customs. The shipment will adopt a new multimodal transport model of "railway + highway," traveling by rail from Hefei to Kashibei Station in Xinjiang, and then transferring to road transport to Kyrgyzstan. This marks the addition of another international freight logistics channel from Hefei to Central Asia. It is reported that the railway-highway multimodal transport is a new logistics supervision model launched by the General Administration of Customs in collaboration with China Railway. This model achieves "one-time carriage and one-document connectivity," meaning export goods are declared and inspected once at the place of departure without the need for transit procedures. The entire logistics process involves one-time carriage, with customs supervision "one-document connectivity" ensuring smooth passage throughout. Container transport operates on a "no container change, no unpacking, and one-container delivery" basis. In recent years, Anhui is transforming from an inland hinterland into a forefront of opening-up, making the construction of external logistics channels particularly important. Li Yan, Deputy Director of Hefei Customs, stated that Anhui is accelerating the development of a multi-dimensional "water, land, and air" international logistics network. Data shows that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the cumulative number of China-Europe freight train from Anhui reached 4,029. The number of trips operated during this period accounts for about three-fourths of the total since its inaugural operation in 2014. Currently, China-Europe freight train (Hefei) covers international routes reaching 20 countries and 177 international stations, while China-Europe freight train (Wuhu) serves routes covering 4 countries and 14 international stations. The China-Europe freight train has demonstrated the "Anhui speed." Recently, at the Wuhu Port International Container Terminal, rows of domestically produced new energy vehicles were neatly arranged. After on-site inspection and supervision by Wuhu Customs officers, these 120 new energy vehicles were prepared to be loaded onto ships and transported overseas via the Yangtze River. "Driven by the waves of new energy and intelligent technology, the global automotive industry is undergoing profound changes. Facing the challenges of industry transformation, Chery has accelerated its technological layout in the fields of new energy and intelligence, continuously exploring scenario innovation and ecosystem development," said Feng Ping, Head of International Business at Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. "Thanks to the Customs' 'coordinated pickup and drop-off' supervision model, new energy vehicles can now 'set sail directly' from our doorstep, significantly reducing logistics and time costs for enterprises and enhancing international competitiveness." Li Yan introduced that the "coordinated pickup and drop-off" supervision model has achieved full coverage across all water transport ports in the province. This model eliminates customs procedures such as transit declarations and secondary arrival reporting. According to enterprise feedback, it can reduce transfer transportation time by 50% and domestic transportation costs by 30%. The implementation of the "direct loading and unloading" operation mode means that import and export goods only need to be handled once at the terminal, reducing port stay time by 90%. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Hefei Customs has supervised 55,700 TEUs under the "coordinated pickup and drop-off" model and 55,800 shipments under the "direct loading and unloading" model. Additionally, in terms of air transport, the province has fully supported the construction of the Hefei International Air Cargo Distribution Center and the Wuhu Specialized Air Cargo Hub. Efforts have been made to ensure the opening of new international cargo routes, with the province now operating over 20 international air routes connecting major economic and trade cities in Asia, Europe, and America. The province continues to promote the implementation of "air-land intermodal transport" and "air-to-air transfer" services, while piloting the "airside direct access" supervision model to achieve efficient connectivity between international and domestic cargo. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the annual growth rate of inbound and outbound cargo volume at Hefei Xinqiao Airport has exceeded 16%, with an estimated cargo volume of 40,000 tons this year. Since its inaugural flight in April last year, Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport has experienced rapid business growth, with cargo volume exceeding 10,000 tons so far this year.
