Multilateralism is central to the prosperity of the Asia-Pacific, and the multilateral system has enabled the region to prosper through international trade, investment and technology transfer, said Peter Drysdale, head of the East Asian Bureau of Economic Research at the Australian National University (ANU), in an interview with Xinhua at his office in Canberra.
