On October 22, the 30th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), organized by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, opened grandly in Macao. To deepen all‑round cooperation between Anhui and Macao, help Anhui enterprises integrate into the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and expand into Portuguese‑speaking markets, Anhui Province organized 22 representative companies to appear in full force. Under the theme "Anhui Links with the World · Intelligent Innovation for the Future," the delegation presented an impressive display in a 180‑square‑meter specially designed exhibition area, showcasing Anhui’s innovations and cooperation opportunities in big health, intelligent manufacturing, green agriculture and other fields, and writing a new chapter in the province’s open development rooted in Huizhou culture. On the opening day many visitors and buyers came to the Anhui pavilion to discuss cooperation; the pavilion was crowded and bustling.
The Anhui pavilion skillfully blending a modern technological feel with elements of Huizhou culture in a simple yet meaningful layout. The exhibition brought together many of the province’s specialized and innovative technology companies as well as representatives of intangible cultural heritage crafts. Hefei Yunzhen Information Technology Co., Ltd.’s "AI + Traditional Chinese Medicine" product and Anhui Zhongke Medical Devices Co., Ltd.’s intelligent medical equipment demonstrated Anhui’s technological strength in smart health; time‑honored brands and intangible‑heritage inheritors such as China Xuan Paper Co., Ltd., Huangshan Huizhou Zhuyixuan Carving Co., Ltd., and Wuhu Chu's Iron Painting Crafts Co., Ltd. presented exquisite works in Xuan paper, bamboo and wood carving, and iron painting, demonstrating the deep cultural heritage of Huizhou to an international audience. The big‑health and green‑food sections were also eye‑catching: Anhui Xiehecheng Pharmaceutical (Herbal Pieces) Co., Ltd., Anhui Hushengji Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Chizhou Jiuhuafu Jinlian Smart Agriculture Co., Ltd. showcased TCM herbal slices, Huoshan dendrobium, and polygonatum (huangjing) product lines, highlighting Anhui’s integrated innovation and industrial vitality in traditional Chinese medicine and green agriculture.
To further promote practical cooperation, the delegation held in‑depth discussions with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade’s Macao representative office, the Macao Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute, the China‑Portugal Cultural Promotion Association, the Macao-Anhui Friendship Association, Macao Namkwong Group, the Macao Chinese Medicine Association and other institutions. The talks focused on Anhui‑Macao economic and trade cooperation, mutual recognition of standards for traditional Chinese medicine and green food, and using Macao’s platform to access Portuguese‑speaking markets, laying the groundwork for subsequent project implementation. In addition, the Anhui pavilion successfully hosted the "China (Anhui) and Portuguese‑speaking Countries Delegation Inter‑Pavilion Exchange Event," inviting representatives from Macao and delegations from Portuguese‑speaking countries to meet Anhui enterprises face to face. Exhibitors from Brazil, Portugal and other countries showed strong interest in Anhui’s high‑tech products; the efficient, pragmatic matchmaking platform helped generate lively and productive on‑site exchanges.
The exhibition yielded rich results. Many companies established direct contacts with Macao buyers, investment institutions and representatives from Portuguese‑speaking countries, and some reached purchase intentions on the spot. With the concentrated display at the Anhui pavilion and broad coverage by domestic and international media, Anhui‑branded products in big health, intelligent manufacturing and green food further increased their influence, attracting large numbers of professional buyers and members of the public to inquire. More importantly, through the MIF international platform and the series of supporting activities, long‑term cooperation mechanisms between Anhui enterprises and Macao and Portuguese‑speaking markets have been further consolidated, injecting strong momentum for continued deepening of cooperation and mutually beneficial development in the future.
