On the morning of June 11, the International Exchange and Mutual Learning Forum of the 2025 China Internet Civilization Conference was held in Hefei. Sun Liangfeng, curator of the Lingjiatan Site Museum, shared the practical experiences and insights of Lingjiatan's journey from Anhui to the international stage, covering aspects such as site protection, utilization, and exchange for reference.

The Lingjiatan Site is located in Hanshan County, Ma'anshan City, dating back approximately 5,800 to 5,200 years. It is a representative site of the first stage of the "Ancient State Era" of Chinese civilization and serves as a key node and location in the project to trace the origins of Chinese civilization and the major national "Archaeology China" initiative. The site is renowned for its brilliant culture, characterized by altars and jade artifacts.

"Site protection adheres to routine management. The Lingjiatan Site Management Office has been established, organizing the relocation of nearly 1,100 households and completing cultural preservation projects such as site fencing, environmental improvement, and site enhancement," Sun Liangfeng explained. Additionally, Anhui has issued the "Anhui Provincial Regulations on the Protection of the Lingjiatan Site," the first specialized legislation for cultural heritage protection in the province, to safeguard this cultural treasure through a legal framework.

Ma'anshan has accelerated archaeological excavations, strengthened research and interpretation, and delved into the value of the grand site to enhance the dissemination and influence of Lingjiatan culture. Efforts include establishing the "Lingjiatan Archaeological Workstation," founding the Lingjiatan Culture Research Institute, and collaborating with universities such as Peking University, Jilin University, and the University of Science and Technology of China on archaeological research.

On May 16, the Lingjiatan Site Museum commenced its trial opening to the public. With approximately 1,100 cultural relics on display, the museum showcases the archaeological achievements of the past 40 years. A growing number of visitors are entering the museum to experience the charm of Lingjiatan culture.

"Lingjiatan is not only a cultural treasure of China but also a cultural bridge for the world, connecting ancient and modern times as well as China and other countries," said Sun Liangfeng. Lingjiatan culture has been exhibited in over 20 cities, particularly in December 2024, when the Lingjiatan Jade Artifacts Exhibition opened at the Wenhua Hall of the Palace Museum, sparking a cultural craze. Not long ago, the Lingjiatan cultural IP also made an appearance at the Hong Kong International Licensing Show, marking a step toward international recognition for the cultural brand.

Sun Liangfeng noted that the archaeological discoveries at Lingjiatan have provided crucial materials for tracing the origins and early development of Chinese civilization. The completion and opening of the site museum represent a milestone in both the research on the origins of Chinese civilization and the conservation and utilization of major archaeological sites in China.
