At 14:28 on May 7th, the high-speed train departing from Guangzhounan Station arrived smoothly at Lu'an Railway Station. Over 40 tour group visitors from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region disembarked in an orderly manner, officially beginning their five-day, four-night summer getaway. This marks the first organized tour group from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region received by Lu'an city this year.

"I did some research on Lu'an before coming and was really drawn by the green mountains, clear waters, and organic food I saw in the promotional videos," said Pan Yumei, a tourist from Foshan, Guangdong, with excitement. "That's why I signed up for this trip. I'm really looking forward to it!"

This cultural tourism journey spanning thousands of kilometers began with Lu'an's targeted initiatives. "To further enhance the visibility of the Dabie Mountains in western Anhui within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, representatives from Macao's tourism industry conducted an exploratory tour of Lu'an in early March," said Ye Bingyong, Secretary-General of the Lu'an Tourism Association. "They evaluated our tourist attractions, hotels, homestays, and wellness industries, and held discussions for cooperation." "In April, we organized two tourism promotion events in Guangdong, which received an enthusiastic response. Visitors from the Greater Bay Area showed great interest in the local culture and traditions of the revolutionary base in the Dabie Mountains, leading to a surge in sign-ups." Ye noted that from the initial preparations in March to the formation of the first tour group in May, a total of 126 people have registered. They will arrive in Lu'an in four separate groups. The itinerary for the first group includes visiting the Western Anhui Museum in the urban area and exploring scenic spots such as Tiantangzhai in Jinzhai County. This allows visitors to experience the charm of the natural "oxygen bar" amidst the green mountains and clear waters, while gaining a deeper understanding of Lu'an's red culture through immersive experiences.

Reportedly, to boost the development of tourism to Lu'an, the Lu'an Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, together with the municipal tourism association, proactively contacted relevant tourism associations and operators in Hong Kong and Macao in March this year. They invited them for exploratory tours to Lu'an to discuss cooperation, jointly create premium travel routes, and continuously expand the tourism market. Meanwhile, the city has also released its 2025 all-for-one tourism support policies, initiating a global themed invitation plan for inbound travel.
