Recently, the thematic exchange activity "Hong Kong and Macao Youth See the Motherland" was held in Huizhou District, with over 20 youths from Hong Kong and Macao participating. The event allowed young people from both regions to experience up close the profound depth of ancient Huizhou culture and the unique charm of provincial-level beautiful and exemplary villages.

During the activity, the youths visited the ancient village of Xixinan, where lush green mountains and clear waters harmoniously complement the white walls and black tiles of traditional architecture. The vibrant green poplar maple forest presented a scene full of life, as if they had stepped into a breathtaking scroll of a Jiangnan landscape. Wandering through the poplar maple forest, they captured the lush greenery with their smartphones.

Lv You, a student from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, happened to have visited the ancient village of Xixinan exactly a year ago. Returning now, he noted, "The facilities in Xixinan have been significantly improved. The poplar maple forest is not only picturesque but also exceptionally well-preserved ecologically."

Subsequently, the exchange group visited the Xie Yuda Tea Culture Museum, where they learned about the long-standing origins of Huizhou tea culture and the traditional intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship of Huangshan Maofeng tea. The distinctive charm of Huizhou-style architecture and the rich collection of exhibits provided a feast for the eyes, leaving everyone lingering and reluctant to leave.

Anhui has been proactively sought projects to promote exchanges and integration between youth from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese with Huangshan youth, and has hosted the "Hong Kong and Macao Youth See the Motherland" thematic activity for three consecutive years. By building platforms, more students from Hong Kong and Macao are invited to visit Huangshan, experience the cultural richness and developmental changes, thereby better promoting and publicizing Huangshan.
