From September 20 to 23, 2025, the World Manufacturing Convention will be grandly held in Hefei. 

This year marks the eighth time Anhui is hosting this prestigious event. An open Anhui is increasingly taking center stage in the global manufacturing arena.  

What highlights can we expect from this year's convention?  

The 2025 World Manufacturing Convention has achieved a "threefold upgrade" in scale, content, and internationalization. With four major events, six project matchmaking sessions, and 23 specialized activities—the convention has notably grown larger in scale and richer in content. 

"International guests will account for over 50% of the attendees," including political figures from around the world, representatives of enterprises competing in the global market, and leaders of international organizations and business associations that play vital roles in the market. The abundant international elements highlight the event's global influence.

With both an "unchanged" pursuit and a "changed" innovative approach, the convention continues to evolve through this balance of continuity and transformation. 

Of course, advancing open development requires far more than hosting a single grand event. It demands deeper cultivation of content, focused efforts on "future industries," and answering the "question of innovation" to further lead the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, the development of emerging industrial clusters, and the forward-looking layout of future industries. This will elevate Anhui's "smart manufacturing" to new heights.

Approximately 10% of display panels, about 8% of industrial robots, 10% of automobiles, 11% of new energy vehicles, 15% of home appliances, 20% of photovoltaic modules, 30% of photovoltaic inverters, and 50% of photovoltaic glass are produced in Anhui. These shares demonstrate Anhui's significant advantages in advancing the theme of "Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future." It is particularly noteworthy that Anhui's high-quality manufacturing development index has risen from 7th to 6th nationally, corporate R&D investment has surpassed the 100-billion-yuan threshold, and the province is home to over 200 national-level innovation platforms. Standing at this new starting point, Anhui is poised to achieve even more, contributing wisdom and solutions in areas where it excels. 

At this year's convention, every segment—from thought-provoking keynote speeches to much-anticipated major project matchmaking, and from supply-demand matchmaking in key industrial and supply chains to major releases—was closely interconnected and strategically targeted, highlighting the intent to leverage strengths and attract investment. These efforts are expected to yield more practical outcomes where "every participant gains and achieves."

By hosting this international event right at its doorstep, Anhui is bringing new expectations to global smart manufacturing. Now is also the perfect time for Anhui's tech enterprises to showcase their strengths. It is hoped that more local companies will bring out their "signature expertise", contributing their individual strength to infuse new energy into "Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future."
