This September marks the first National Science Popularization Month. On September 7th, reporters learned from the Anhui Association for Science and Technology that during this period, our province will host a rich array of diverse science popularization activities, totaling over 5,000 sessions.

The key events of this Science Popularization Month include flagship main venue activities, frontier insights shared in popular science reports, exploring future prospects at science communication venues, creating popular science content with millions of IPs, bringing scientific culture to grassroots communities, an online exhibition titled "Light of Science Popularization," and science-themed study tours. These initiatives will deliver a splendid feast of technology and culture to the public across the entire province.

During the National Science Popularization Month, our province will focus on cutting-edge technologies, mobilizing scientists, technicians, and industry experts to deliver popular science lectures for groups including young scientific talent, university students, entrepreneurs, and civil servants, explaining new technologies and achievements. Furthermore, various innovation entities within the province—such as tech companies, universities, and research institutes—will actively open their exhibition halls, laboratories, and production lines, fully leveraging the role of various popular science "Spark Museums."

Anhui will release its second batch of curated science popularization study tour routes, launch an online provincial map for science popularization study tours, and unveil the Hefei Future Grand Science City Science Popularization Study Tour Center. Through creating these "walking science classrooms," Anhui aims to promote the deep integration of science popularization with culture and tourism.

Led by the Anhui Association for Science and Technology, initiatives include organizing a "Million University Students from Hundred Institutions Science Popularization Creativity & Innovation Competition," as well as launching calls for entries in the "Ten Million IPs Create Science Popularization" and "Beautiful Anhui Science Equipment" campaigns. Units such as the Health Commission of Anhui Province, Anhui Earthquake Agency, and Anhui Meteorological Service will also conduct their own science popularization content creation activities, leveraging their respective fields and institutional strengths. Cities like Bengbu and Wuhu will host short video competitions focused on science popularization. These efforts aim to actively encourage participation from scientists, science communication enthusiasts, university students, and other groups in creating popular science materials, thereby transforming scientific resources into accessible knowledge and increasing the supply of high-quality popular science content.
