On September 5th, reporters learned from a press conference held by the Anhui Provincial Government that the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention will be held in Hefei City from September 20 to 23. The event will feature activities including an opening ceremony and keynote speeches, major project matchmaking sessions, exhibitions showcasing achievements in manufacturing during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, supply-demand docking for key industrial chains, and official releases at the conference. With openness as its hallmark, the convention has invited Slovakia to serve as the Guest Country of Honor. A high-level delegation from Slovakia will attend to deepen and expand cooperation in manufacturing between China and Slovakia. Government officials, corporate representatives, heads of international organizations, chamber of commerce leaders, and other guests from over 40 countries and regions will attend. International attendees are expected to account for more than 50% of all participants. A series of distinctive international activities have been planned, including: the 2025 Global Chambers of Commerce and Associations Summit, an Intelligent Manufacturing International Cooperation Development Matchmaking Meeting, an SME Global Expansion and International Industrial Chain Cooperation Event, an Anhui-Germany SME Partnership Forum, and a CIIE Foreign Enterprises (Anhui) Connect Event. These initiatives aim to foster deeper, broader economic and trade exchanges while expanding the global network for manufacturing cooperation. Notably, Henan Province has been invited as the Guest Honor Province. This will further strengthen industrial collaboration between Anhui and Henan, supporting regional coordinated development through mutual services. The convention will host four major events, six project matchmaking sessions, and twenty-three specialized activities. The convention will establish 10 comprehensive exhibition areas focusing on China's manufacturing power strategy and Anhui's manufacturing achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, presenting national and provincial industrial developments in an all-round, multi-dimensional manner. It will also host market-oriented exhibitions including Robotics and Industrial Automation Show, Digital Economy Exhibition, and Machinery Equipment Exhibition to facilitate business cooperation negotiations. Simultaneously, an interactive exhibition zone for unmanned systems will be set up in Luogang Park, allowing visitors to immersively experience unmanned aircraft flights, autonomous vehicle demonstrations, and other smart manufacturing innovations, thereby enhancing engagement and entertainment value. To date, organizers have identified 932 preliminary signed projects with a total investment of RMB 424.6 billion, aiming to secure more implementable cooperative outcomes.
