Data shows that in the first seven months of this year, Anhui Province's total value of goods trade imports and exports increased by 14.1% year-on-year. Specifically, exports reached 364.73 billion yuan (up 13.8%), while imports amounted to 178.68 billion yuan (up 14.8%).

In terms of ranking, our province ranked first among central China region and ninth nationwide for total import-export volume. Its growth rate placed sixth nationally and first within the Yangtze River Delta region.

July performance was particularly outstanding, setting a historical high for single-month trade scale and securing eighth place nationwide.

This growth stems from two key factors: significant expansion in trade with the European Union and ASEAN; and accelerated global expansion by Anhui enterprises, which have deepened their international industrial and supply chains through overseas investments.

Diversifying foreign trade partners contributes to the sustained expansion of trade volume. In the first seven months of this year, the European Union became the province's largest trading partner, with the total trade value reaching 73.75 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%, accounting for 13.6% of the province's total foreign trade. ASEAN emerged as the second-largest trading partner, with the total trade value amounting to 73.36 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 35.7%, representing 13.5% of the total.

Data shows that in the first seven months of this year, the province's export of mechanical and electrical products reached 260.15 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.2%, accounting for 71.3% of the province's total export value. Among these, the export of automobiles (including chassis) reached 547,000 units, maintaining the province's position as the top exporter in China with a 10.8% increase in volume. The export value of automobiles amounted to 58.51 billion yuan, reflecting an 18.9% growth. Exports of laptops and household appliances reached 28.03 billion yuan and 22.26 billion yuan, with growth rates of 20.6% and 5.8%, respectively.

Private enterprises, leveraging their agile market mechanisms and innovative dynamism, have emerged as the main force driving foreign trade. Data reveals that in the first seven months of this year, privately-owned businesses in our province achieved import-export transactions totaling ¥280.73 billion—a year-on-year increase of 16.7%, accounting for 51.7% of the province's total foreign trade value. Among these, exports reached ¥210.23 billion (up 17.6%), comprising 57.6% of the provincial exports.

"Since early this year, we have implemented 'Twenty-Six Measures to Further Optimize Port Business Environment and Facilitate Customs Clearance for Enterprises'," stated an official from Hefei Customs. The policy expands benefits from high-tech cargo inspection models like vacuum packaging coverage and supports Anhui's openness platforms. A relevant official from Hefei Customs stated that they will tailor differentiated customs supervision systems around local specialty industries, actively boosting high-quality development of Anhui's foreign trade.
