This year, Anhui has proactively taken action, continuously expanding its broad scope for effective investment. Centering on the development path of high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing, Anhui is vigorously advancing manufacturing projects to solidify the pillars of a robust economy, thereby empowering high-quality development.

In August, Hefei City sees a batch of large-scale manufacturing projects with strong industrial driving effects and promising prospects accelerating their progress. At the site of the Canal New Town • High-Tech Intelligent Manufacturing City project in Shushan District, reporters observed over 300 construction workers braving the high temperatures, safely expediting work and racing against timetables.

By closely monitoring process transitions and handovers, the construction team completed the topping out of all building structures about 40 days ahead of schedule. They will strictly control quality, maintain momentum, and ensure completion and delivery by the end of 2026.

As a high-tech industrial park developed by Shushan High-tech, this project is positioned as an advanced intelligent manufacturing hub in the Yangtze River Delta region. It focuses on three leading industries: new energy photovoltaics, energy conservation and environmental protection, and high-end equipment manufacturing. Upon completion, it will accommodate over 100 high-tech enterprises, becoming a "powerful engine" driving high-quality regional economic development. 

The manufacturing sector must adhere to the principles of high-end development, intelligence, and green practices, continuously enhancing the technological content and added value of its products. Since the beginning of this year, Anhui Province has placed greater emphasis on project quality while focusing on expanding effective investments. Among the third batch of newly mobilized projects, 271 are in emerging industries—accounting for over 50%—with a significant increase in high-tech manufacturing projects. In Wuhu, the intelligent factory project for automotive electronics by Wuhu Hongjing Electronics Co., Ltd. is accelerating construction. As a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise specializing in niche markets, their automotive electronics and new display products are in high demand. Upon completion and operation of the new project, the company will operate 60 production lines with a total capacity of 24.3 million sets of automotive electronic products, positioning it among China's top five players in the same industry.

Supporting high-quality investment through high-quality projects, various regions are expanding their investment scope by upgrading industries—accelerating the transformation of traditional sectors, fostering the growth of emerging industries, and cultivating future industries. They are strengthening service guarantees to ensure early landing, commissioning, and effectiveness of manufacturing projects.

Simultaneously, since the beginning of this year, Anhui has further intensified its efforts in digital transformation, broadening its effective investment space and leveraging digital capabilities to empower high-quality development in manufacturing. In Q1 this year alone, 24,600 enterprises above designated size in Anhui launched digital transformation projects. 

Driven by one high-quality project after another, Anhui Province's manufacturing sector demonstrated strong resilience and growth momentum in the first half of this year. The added value of high-tech manufacturing across the province surged by 23.6% year-on-year, accelerating by 3.5 percentage points compared to Q1.

Since early this year, Anhui has consistently prioritized major projects—especially large-scale and high-quality ones—while emphasizing not just quantity but also quality, focusing on expanding effective investments. By continuously planning and rolling out batches of significant, high-caliber projects, it is leveraging structural shifts in its portfolio to enhance investment efficiency and efficacy, thereby building momentum for high-quality development.
