Reporters learned from the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission, as of July, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Emergency Management, and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration have cumulatively allocated 520 million yuan in central budget investment for 2025. These funds support Anhui Province in implementing 13 projects, including soil and water conservation and ecological restoration in the Huangshan and Dabie Mountain areas, protection and restoration of key migratory bird habitats in the Shengjin Lake National Nature Reserve, comprehensive management of high-risk forest fire areas in Ma’anshan City, and enhancement of pine wood nematode disease prevention and control capabilities in Chizhou City.

The investment of this batch of central funds plays an important role in advancing ecological protection and restoration in Anhui’s key regions, improving comprehensive forest fire prevention and control capabilities in project areas, enhancing management levels of key nature reserves and wildlife protection, strengthening monitoring and prevention of forestry pests, and accelerating the construction of an ecological strong province to build a beautiful Anhui.

A relevant official from the Provincial Development and Reform Commission stated that the next step will be to cooperate with the Provincial Emergency Management Department and the Provincial Forestry Bureau to fully leverage the National Major Construction Project Database, the Efficient Investment E-Service Dispatch Platform, and the provincial major project elements support task force mechanisms. They will increase supervision of fund usage and project construction, promoting the early completion and effectiveness of these projects.
