On July 21, the "China (Anhui) - Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Matching Conference and 2025 Indonesia International Emergency Expo Promotion Conference" was held in Hefei. Over a hundred representatives from enterprises and business associations related to the relevant fields attended the meeting to jointly promote cooperation and exchange and share development opportunities. The conference was organized under the guidance of the Anhui International Chamber of Commerce and the Anhui Association of Scientists and Enterpreneur, and jointly hosted by the Hefei International Chamber of Commerce, Friendship Association of the Fellowship of Hefei, and Hefei Manufacturing Industry Going Global Alliance, among other organizations.

The year 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia, coinciding with a critical period for the continued release of RCEP policy dividends. This event focused on key areas such as the emergency industry, new energy, and intelligent manufacturing. Through policy briefings, keynote speeches, and exhibition promotions, it addressed platform construction, industrial chain improvement, and financial service innovation. The conference aimed to interpret bilateral investment policies, connect supply and demand resources in the Indonesian market, promote complementary advantages of the industrial chains between the two regions, and assist enterprises from our province in deeply integrating into the ASEAN economic circle.

"Through this conference, we feel more confident about expanding into the Indonesian market!" said Si Wuzhuo, chairman of Anhui Zhengxiaowan Catering Co., Ltd. As a leading local catering enterprise in Anhui, Zhengxiaowan opened its "first store in Indonesia" in Jakarta last year. Besides bringing authentic Anhui flavors, it also developed "Indonesian cuisine" in combination with local tastes, which has been well received. "At the conference, I learned about some organizations that can provide support for our overseas enterprises. Going forward, we will consider Zhengxiaowan’s overseas development from a comprehensive and holistic perspective."

In recent years, Hefei’s cooperation with ASEAN countries has continuously expanded, yielding fruitful results in trade exchanges, industrial collaboration, and cultural integration. Trade relations have become increasingly close. In 2024, Hefei’s trade volume with ASEAN reached over 44 billion yuan, accounting for 12% of the city’s total import and export volume. The trade covers diverse fields including mechanical and electrical equipment, textile raw materials, mineral resources, and automotive parts, forming a complementary and win-win trade pattern.

As of now, 8 out of the 10 ASEAN countries have established more than 100 enterprises in Hefei, with cumulative investment exceeding 3.5 billion US dollars. The economic cooperation projects carried out by Hefei enterprises across ASEAN member states have seen investments surpass 2 billion US dollars, achieving efficient connections between industrial chains and market resources.
