At 6:16 a.m. on July 3, as the steel component was precisely hoisted into place, the station name sign of Hefeixi Railway Station was officially installed, marking another important milestone in the construction of the Hefeixi Railway Station. On the same day, reporters entered the interior of the station building to explore the latest progress of the project and to showcase the exquisite design of the entrance hall, platforms, exit hall, and waiting areas. Entering the west side of the station from the south drop-off platform, the main structure of this part of the station has been completed, with internal decoration and electromechanical installation currently underway, and some directional signs already installed. The roof steel structure of the east side of the station was successfully connected with the west side at a height of 41.138 meters in the days before, and at this moment, many workers are engaged in the steel structure closure construction. Soon, the east and west sides of the station will be fully connected. Looking up from the waiting hall, the droplet-shaped skylight is particularly striking, not only in its beautiful form but also in its streamlined feel. It is understood that the entire skylight covers an area of 10,400 square meters, with each droplet shape measuring 35 meters in length. The skylight matches the roof's design, and together with the perforated aluminum panels on both sides, creates a play of solids and voids, greatly enriching the visual experience. The interior design of Hefeixi Station takes the cultural elements of the great lake's ripples, technological pulse, and modern Huizhou architecture as its theme, while droplets, chips, lotuses, and pomegranate flowers serve as decorative cultural elements, creating unique scenic views everywhere within the station building. Hefeixi Station also marks the first domestic intelligent high-speed railway station to adopt a hollow floor structure system. The use of this technology can optimize the height of the main beams, reduce the amount of concrete and steel used, and simultaneously enhance the service life of the structure. The entire Hefeixi Station consists of the station building, the station yard, and the eastern and western squares, with over 1,100 workers currently on-site. According to the plan, the eastern and western station buildings and related supporting projects will be completed by the end of this year, making the station operational. Together with Hefei Station and Hefeinan Station, it will form a looped rail network, creating a "triangular" passenger transport layout for the Hefei railway hub.
