From May 22 to 26, the 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) is being held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. Under the theme “The Everlasting Charm of Anhui's Culture,” Anhui organized 79 outstanding cultural enterprises to participate, fully demonstrating the robust strength and innovative spirit of Anhui's cultural industry in the new era.

Stepping into the Anhui Pavilion at the cultural industries fair, an elegantly rustic alleyway scene immediately catches the eye.

The Liuchixiang creative live exhibition area faithfully recreates the historical look of Tongcheng’s Liuchixiang, vividly bringing this “living culture” embodying traditional Chinese virtues to the international stage.

Zhang Huaxiang, a student from Shenzhen Xin’an Middle School, excitedly shared, “I used to only read about the story of Liuchixiang in books, but today, experiencing it firsthand here has deepened my understanding of the spirit of ‘courtesy and yielding.’ I definitely want to visit Tongcheng in person to feel the essence of Liuchixiang!”

Heyi Aviation showcased the EH216-S model, the nation’s first civil unmanned aerial vehicle certified for operation. “This aircraft can be used in manned flights, firefighting, logistics, and other fields, with two takeoff and landing sites currently set up at Luogang Park in Hefei,” explained staff member Zhu Yi.

In addition, Anhui Lawaken Technology presented the world’s first Meta Lens Chat AI smart glasses, harnessing AI to empower smart living; Huaguang Imaging Technology (UDCAM) displayed an 8K ultra-high-definition broadcast-grade EFP camera—the first domestically developed camera front-end shooting system with independent intellectual property rights... These exhibits fully demonstrate Anhui’s leading strength in the integration of culture and technology.

“Cutting chrysanthemum-shaped tofu requires a calm mind and steady hands,” said Zhang Shihong, a Chinese culinary master and representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage “Tofu Banquet,” as he demonstrated his exquisite knife skills at the expo. In his hands, a block of soft tofu quickly transformed into a blooming “chrysanthemum,” with tofu shreds as fine as hair that could even thread a needle, drawing admiration from onlookers.

“I’ve almost attended every ICIF; you could say I’m a ‘regular face’ here,” laughed Zhang Wennian, director of Xuanzhou Xuancheng Writing-Brush Factory and a national-level intangible cultural heritage representative inheritor. He has witnessed the expo’s continuous growth while constantly innovating and developing himself.

From traditional intangible heritage to technological innovation, from cultural inheritance to industrial integration, the Anhui Pavilion fully showcased the enduring cultural richness and vibrant contemporary vitality of Anhui culture with a balance of tradition and innovation. This splendid cultural feast not only breaks the boundaries of tradition but also highlights innovation, letting the unique spirit of Anhui culture and Anhui charm shine brilliantly on the stage of the ICIF!
