On May 19, the lively cultural and tourism market at Leijie Street in Hefei attracted a large number of visitors to explore and experience. Following the unified arrangement by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism hosted the 2025 “China Tourism Day” Anhui venue event, creating a cultural and tourism carnival that is tangible, enjoyable, and participatory for the public. This year marks the 15th “China Tourism Day” on May 19. The Anhui venue event focuses on inclusive enjoyment for all, full participation, and benefiting and delighting the people. It launched over 500 innovative initiatives, including cultural tourism consumption vouchers, corporate discounts, public cultural performances, and open access to venues. Leaders of cultural and tourism departments from 16 cities took turns on the grand stage at Leijie Street to vividly promote new cultural tourism business models and products from their regions, comprehensively showcasing Anhui’s new cultural tourism highlights and the charm of "all-for-one" tourism. As a flagship event hosted by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the 2025 “Come Visit Jianghuai Region This Spring” campaign concluded successfully. This year’s campaign introduced over 100 new business types, more than 1,700 new products, and over 6,500 activities. It also invited cultural tourism “partners” to co-brand products, create scenes, and organize events, building a high-yield cultural tourism ecosystem. Outstanding units and individual representatives of the 2025 “Come Visit Jianghuai Region This Spring” campaign were honored at the event. On the same day, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism launched the “Beautiful Mountains and Rivers, Wonderful Anhui” topic challenge on social media, encouraging visitors to co-create cultural tourism content. Through short videos, participants promoted Anhui’s scenic landscapes, intangible cultural heritage skills, and specialty foods, sparking a “virtual tour of Anhui” craze.
