At present, Anhui province is at a critical period for the transition from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture. It is necessary to develop new quality productive forces in agriculture according to local conditions. The reporter learned from the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that last year, the contribution rate of agricultural science and technology progress in our province was 67%, the comprehensive mechanization rate of crop cultivation and harvesting was 86%, and the informatization rate of agricultural production was 51.2%, all of which ranked among the top in the country. This year, our province will enhance the overall efficiency of the agricultural science and technology innovation system, deeply implement the Seed Industry Revitalization Action Plan, focus on the research and application of agricultural machinery and equipment, and vigorously develop smart agriculture. 

Last year, the sales volume of crop seeds in our province exceeded 10 billion yuan, ranking 3rd in the country, and the export volume of hybrid rice seeds has ranked first in the country for six consecutive years. This year, our province will deeply implement the Seed Industry Revitalization Action Plan, accelerate the creation of Hefei as the "capital of seed industry". 

In terms of agricultural machinery and equipment R&D and application, our province will accelerate the development of large-scale intelligent agricultural machinery and equipment suitable for large-scale agricultural production and small-scale machinery suitable for hilly and mountainous areas, and expand the agricultural machinery and equipment industry cluster. 

Our province has also issued several measures to vigorously develop smart agriculture, promoted the construction of "5+8" pilot projects for expanding and improving the quality of smart agriculture digital countryside and agricultural industry Internet, and strived to build 150 new digital agriculture factories, expanded the application scenarios of artificial intelligence, low altitude and other technologies, and continuously cultivated smart farms, smart pastures and smart fisheries.
