On March 12th, reporters learned from the press conference held by the Anhui Provincial Government Information Office that our province will fully implement the Green and Beautiful Jianghuai Action, and scientifically carry out land greening. In 2024, the province completed 272,000 mu (about 44,808 acres) of artificial afforestation, 1.115 million mu of forest protection, 727,000 mu of degraded forest restoration, and 2.036 million mu of forest nurturing.

The Provincial Greening Committee actively promoted voluntary tree planting, guiding local areas to promote the integrated development of online and offline voluntary tree planting, and mobilized the enthusiasm to participate in voluntary tree planting. In 2024, the province launched 1,045 responsibility activities, including 1,043 labor-related events and two donation initiatives, covering various forms of ecological responsibility such as forest care, afforestation, and volunteer services.

This year, the province will continue to promote the construction of 200 green and beautiful villages and 80 green and beautiful towns, planning to implement 3.8 million mu of afforestation. This includes 100,000 mu of artificial afforestation, 1.05 million mu of forest protection, 650,000 mu of degraded forest restoration, and 2 million mu of forest nurturing. The initiative will focus on "planting green, enhancing beauty, improving quality, and benefiting the public," promoting rural greening and high-standard construction of green and beautiful villages and towns.
