As a backbone water supply project of the Phase II Yangtze-to-Huaihe water diversion Project, the Hefei Water Source Project will achieve a historic connection between the "Yangtze-to-Huaihe water diversion" and the "Pi-Shi-Hang Irrigation Area" within Hefei. Recently, journalists entered the Hefei Water Source Project site and observed that its construction is progressing rapidly. 

In the chilly spring weather, upon entering the comprehensive processing factory of the Phase II Yangtze-to-Huaihe water diversion Project Hefei Water Source Project, one sees that a group of "intelligent" robots have become the "main force." Their mechanical arms move flexibly and smoothly, accurately completing each steel rebar processing procedure. With the use of automated steel rebar processing equipment, the production capacity of steel rebar processing has greatly increased. The finished products are dimensionally accurate, and the equipment's safety performance is high, reducing the risk of mechanical injury. 

The power of technology has "given wings" to the construction of water conservation projects, achieving a qualitative leap in engineering construction levels.

The Phase II Yangtze-to-Huaihe water diversion Project primarily focuses on urban and rural water supply, combined with irrigation and water replenishment, creating conditions for the region to address water supply security risks and improve the ecological environment. It was included in the national list of 150 significant water conservation projects in 2020. 

After the completion of the Phase II Yangtze-to-Huaihe water diversion Project, it will further unleash the huge potential of the Yangtze-to-Huaihe water diversion Project in optimizing water resource allocation, agricultural emergency drought resistance, urban backup water sources, and river and lake ecological protection. This will create conditions for the region to address water supply security risks and improve the ecological environment, contributing to the high-quality economic and social development of Anhui Province.
