"Dream of Winter, Love among Asia." On the evening of February 7, the 9th Asian Winter Games will grandly open in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Four athletes from Anhui—Chen Meiting, Feng Junxi, Yan Ruinan, and Xu Lang—have been selected for the Chinese sports delegation to compete in snow and ice events, marking the first time athletes from Jianghuai region have participated in the Asian Winter Games.

All of the Anhui athletes are born in the 2000s, with the oldest, Yan Ruinan, being 24, and the youngest, Feng Junxi, just 17. Chen Meiting will compete in Women's Freeski Aerials and Women's Aerials Synchro, while Feng Junxi will participate in Women's Freeski Aerials Synchro. Yan Ruinan and Xu Lang will compete in Men's Ice Hockey. Additionally, Tian Xinrui, a teacher from Anhui Xinhua University, has been selected as a domestic technical official for the ice hockey events.

The Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025 will feature over 1,200 athletes from 34 countries and regions across Asia, making it the largest event of its kind to date. In recent years, Anhui has made significant strides in developing winter sports, and our athletes are poised to achieve new breakthroughs at this year's games.
