In the past year of 2024, the whistles of the China-Europe freight train (Hefei) echoed across the Eurasian continent. Reporters learned from Hefei Customs that last year, the China-Europe freight train (Hefei) operated a total of 909 trains, marking an increase of 4.72% year-on-year; the value of goods transported reached 10.423 billion yuan, up by 14.27% compared to the previous year. The China-Europe freight train (Hefei) is extending its reach further each day. Last year, it added 31 new cities along its routes in Central Europe and Central Asia, broadening the international trade channels for foreign trade enterprises in Anhui. "The rapid development of the China-Europe freight train (Hefei) has led more and more Anhui foreign trade enterprises to choose this mode of transportation. It has become a 'golden passage' for industries such as new energy vehicles and white goods to enter the international market," said Chen Feng, General Manager of Hefei International Land Port Co., Ltd. "Last year, local goods from Anhui accounted for 89.47% of the exported goods, with a growth of 5.64% compared to the previous year." Since last year, the Luzhou Customs under Hefei Customs has optimized several regulatory service measures. By utilizing an intelligent supervision system, they have enabled advance declaration and rapid review of train cargo, ensuring that goods can complete customs clearance procedures as quickly as possible. They have also actively implemented various tax and fee preferential policies. Additionally, they have strengthened contacts with relevant departments such as railways and platform companies, establishing a regular information sharing mechanism. This real-time sharing of basic information about train cargo, transport status, and potential risks safeguards the stable and smooth operation of the China-Europe freight train (Hefei).
