Continuous growth of investment in projects initiated by returning Anhui merchants

With the accelerated development of Anhui's economy and the continuous improvement of the business environment, an increasing number of Anhui merchants are choosing to invest and start businesses in their hometown. On December 6th, according to the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission, from January to October this year, there has been a significant increase in funds for projects initiated by Anhui merchants returning to the province. There are 469 ongoing projects with an investment of over 100 million yuan initiated by returning Anhui merchants, totaling 129.97 billion yuan, a 13.6% increase compared to the same period last year.

The projects initiated by returning Anhui merchants have not only brought their own funds, technology, and talents, but a group of leading enterprises in the chain, or "chain master" enterprises, have also driven the landing and agglomeration development of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain. For example, BYD's settlement in Hefei has accelerated the rise of Anhui province's new energy vehicle industry, attracting more than 100 supporting enterprises in batteries, electric motors, electronic controls, and automotive electronics.

The growth of funds for returning Anhui merchant projects is inseparable from the attraction and coordination efforts of local governments and Anhui merchant organizations. In recent years, various places in the province have successively held activities to attract Anhui merchants to return, such as Bozhou's "Attracting Investments and Talents" promotion conference and "Bozhou Merchants from All Around the World" conference, Anqing's first China Anqing Merchants Conference, and the "Huangshan Trip of a Hundred Chamber Presidents" and the 4th National Off-site Huangshan (Huizhou) Chamber of Commerce Presidents Symposium. At the same time, Anhui merchant organizations from domestic and foreign regions have been bridging connections in investment attraction. As of the end of last year, there were a total of 496 Anhui merchant organizations worldwide. Anhui merchant organizations in various regions are constantly strengthening cooperation and promoting exchanges between regions, playing an active role in supporting Anhui's "Attracting Investments and Talents" efforts.
